Setup Instructions

Once you have a project created and setup to use the ZaxControl library the next few steps are need to integrate it into the project. Depending on your project you can either perform these steps on an individual page or on a master template page. We recommend that you use a master template page so that all pages in the site will inherit this functionality.

Page Setup

Open your master page or aspx page in Visual Studio. Adding the following line of code just after the Master definition:

<%@ Master Language="C#" AutoEventWireup="true" CodeBehind="site.master.cs" Inherits="" %>
<%@ Register Assembly="ZaxControls" Namespace="ZaxLib.Web.UI.WebControls" TagPrefix="zax" %>

This connects the library to the page and allows usage of the new controls. Next under the page form tag add the script manager either by dragging it from the Toolbox to the page or just typing it in:

<zax:ZScriptManager runat="server" id="ZaxManager" ColumnSizer="column" jQueryPath="~/Library/jQuery"
	jQueryUI="jquery-ui-1.10.4.custom.js" />

The first custom parameter is the ColumnSizer which tells the script manager which CSS class to set the height of all items in the class to the same height. This is very useful when your using div tags to define your page layout and want the columns to all be the same height.

Next is the jQueryPath parameter which tells the script manager what directory to use to find the jQuery script files in. This makes it so that your project can use a custom directory. The next two parameters just tell the script manager the file name for the base jQuery library and jQueryUI library.

Now that the page is setup to use the script manager your project is ready to use the ZaxControls. For more information about the ScriptManager review the documentation page.
